As a forex trader, you have a choice of two very different tax treatments: Section 988 or Section 1256. With the latter, you report gains on Form 6781 and can split your gains: 60 percent at the long-term rate (15 percent as of 2013) and 40 percent at the short-term rate (your own marginal income tax rate) -- no matter how long you held your position. Under Section 988, you report gains and losses as interest income or loss, with any gain added to your ordinary income from other sources. You can opt out of Section 988 and select the Section 1256 treatment, but you must do so before you start currency trading.
Actually robots are good and very useful. They automate our trading and help us to get better results and performance. Of course this depends on the robots. For example i mix manual trading and automated managing of these trades. I use a robot called profit defender to set automatic trailing stops to my manually opened trades. This way i don’t care about my trades when i am not in front of my computer. If there are any other traders who do the same please share your experience here i would like to get other traders opinion.

Hire a programmer to code your strategy – Whilst there are plenty of skilled programmers out there that you can hire to programme your automated day trading strategies, they do come with drawbacks. Firstly, it will be expensive. Secondly, you’ll need a serious trial and error process to determine whether your strategy will yield consistent profit.
I don't normally feel inclined to offer thanks for a Forex product and I realize that at this time you must be very busy. However I must congratulate you on a wonderful achievement. Me and my colleague have designed half a dozen EA's of our own so I can fully understand the difficulties on getting it working correctly never mind profitably. It's still early days yet of course but the EA seems to hold it's own in all conditions and to say that I have been impressed with it is a massive understatement. I shouldn't say this really but i reckon you could have made the price $300 (or more) to start with. I was happy to buy it for $97 which is an absolute steal for me of course. I guess it's also unfortunate that most of the people buying this cash machine will never end up trading it live. Those that are willing to trust their gut however could be very wealthy in the years to come. If any of you guys ever visit the East Coast of Australia then I'd love to shake your hands and thank you for not keeping this wondefrul robot to yourselves. If it is true that what goes around comes around then I'm sure that you guys will achive everything you want to. Once again thanks for giving me a real shot at financial freedom.

BUT, you missed out on the “Grey” area…and that is creating/developing trading “Bots” that are not 100% automated… but take control of a trade once you set it in motion… Unfortunately, I have nearly killed myself trying to program the “perfect” EA and I have now realized that… I’d actually rather trade than continuously keep tweaking and changing my algorithm…
